How Can We Help?

Children's are the future of the world. Proper education is essential to empowering children in creating a greater future. As mentioned above from the surveys and interviews, students realize that there are many problems with education around the globe and possible solutions to enhance the quality of education. Many organizations recognize these flaws within education and have done and continue to do advances that improve education for children around the world. Some of these organizations include Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Transforming Education, Save The Children (STC), and United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). These organizations have different goals and need great support from the public to achieve their goals.

Global Partnership for Education (GPE)

Global Partnership for Education (GPE) is the largest fund that solely focuses on transforming and enhancing education for little boys and girls in low-income countries. Working with

numerous countries, by having a thorough understanding of their culture and traditions, GPE focuses on improving aspects in education such as quality learning and teaching, gender equality, education in crisis, inclusive education, early learning and more. As compared to financial help from individuals, GPE requires the community's help through raising awareness of the educational crisis occurring in many of the third world countries with low literacy rates. This awareness will encourage members of the community, especially the younger generation, to get involved in initiatives that are improving education worldwide.

Save the Children (STC)

Save the Children (STC) is an organization that has been running for the past 100 years. STC’s

goals are similar to the goals of GPE, focussing on giving children quality education and recognize the importance of starting quality education at an early age to form a base for a lifetime of learning. Different ways to help STC are through fundraising for STC, shopping

from STC stores, volunteering, donating to emergency funds, becoming a partner and more.

United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

Lastly, the United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization or more

commonly known as UNESCO is an organization that has been dedicated to improving education globally. UNESCO helps with research in education and provides technical advice/assistance to governments in forming strategic plans that align with the SDG 4 targets and framework. Conduct seminars focused on explaining the rights to education. Additionally, UNESCO provides skills and resources that strengthen national educational leadership and strengthen the country's ability to offer quality education. Individuals can support the organization through promoting its works on social media or other platforms, also, through partnership with UNESCO people can get involved with the actual work that the organization does.

Steps On Helping

• Find an organization that fits you. Listed above are only a few of the world's leading organizations working to enhance education globally. As current students, we have the obligation to support organizations working to provide quality education for those who are not as fortunate. As there are many organizations, we encourage you to research and find an organization that fits your values and beliefs.

• Financial Support Most of these institution require financial support; a wonderful way for students to get involved is through making a charitable donation and/or through fundraising for a specific organization. Additionally, a lot of organizations have different merchandise and events that students can purchase in support.

• Raise Awareness Social media is a great tool that can be used to reach people around the world, getting others involved and raising awareness to different causes. Students can use social media as a platform to raise awareness of the problems within education and work different organizations. Organizations can expand their support base through this awareness.

• Get Involved A lot of these organizations have different opportunities for people to get involved with their work. Whether it be pursuing an occupation within this field and working for an organization, volunteering for the organizations, or partnering on a specific project, getting involved with the organizations work is a great way of showing support.
